Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy, Opole University of Technology, Poland, invites to the conference "Control of Movement and Posture; EMG and Posturography Workshop".

The main goal of the meeting of researchers and practitioners, dealing with broadly taken motor control, is a discussion of commonly appreciated scientific views concerning human motor operations’ control and regulation, as well as the presentation of research potentialities of modern technologies applied in motor control, i.e. EMG, EEG and posturography. Additionally, during workshop sessions, we plan to present the practical capabilities of thorough analysis of movements’ patterns, posture and gait with the use of feedback.

The confrontation of applying the systemic theories with research practice should result in interesting combination of ideas, and finally in significant publications of international scope. Another goal of the conference is the presentation of technical potentialities of systems for movements’ diagnosis, applicable in sport, physical education and rehabilitation. We are convinced that friendly atmosphere of Technical University Campus, hospitality of researchers, teachers and nearly two thousands enthusiastic students of our University – who study three majors: physical education, tourism and recreation, and physiotherapy – will contribute to significant scientific results of our conference.

The Conference is organized under a grant nr RSA2 030 52 (0010/RS2/2013/52) "Rozwój sportu akademickiego Politechniki Opolskiej, w oparciu o nowoczesne metody diagnostyczne w aspekcie doskonalenia procesu treningowego" from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Poland.
